Eskdale Valley Eskdale CA19 1TS Directions: FROM THE SOUTHLeave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 taking the A590 to Greenodd continue on A595 to Whitehaven. At Duddon Bridge turn right at the traffic lights signposted Ulpha Seathwaite. Over the fell to Ulpha village past the village shop 200 metres and take a left signposted Eskdale up a steep hill to Birker Fell Eskdale beyond. Over the fell about 2 miles on we are on the junction for Hardknott Wrynose Pass.FROM THE NORTHLeave the M6 at Penrith A66 towards Whitehaven Barrow A595 . At Gosforth go through village looking for signs for Eskdale. Go through Santon village over the bridge up the hill and keep going through Eskdale Green we are on the junction at the other side of the village.BY RAILVirgin Trains West Coast Ravenglass Station.This is the home of the Ratty Railway a small gauge railway that runs into the Eskdale Valley.
