Ullswater
Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and is situated just off the A66 only 5 miles from the M6 motorway.  Ullswater has three distinct bends giving it a dog's leg appearance.  Ullswater has the villages of Pooley Bridge at the northern end, Glenridding at the southern end, with Howtown about halfway down.
